UT and Intellimouse Explorer

I have the Intellimouse Explorer Optical from MS (the one with 4 buttons) and I cannot get the 2 side buttons to register in UT when I try and bind them to a command. Anyone know why?

do you have it connected to the USB or PS/2 port? I know that mine was sorta picky, so I went to USB. Also, do you have the newest drivers for the mouse? That could help. Other than that, I can't really help.

Under your mouse properties, remap the keys to things on the keyboard, i think default they are set to stuff keys that UT doesnt natively support.

USB, running Intellipoint 3.2

I was hoping UT would just see them as Mouse Buttons 4 and 5, but no such luck. I'll try the keyboard option.

Thanks 😀

I had emailed GT Tech support with the same question... they recommened the keyboard solution because UT doesn't support 4 & 5... so go w/the keyboard option.
