I read in PlanetUnreal there`s a possibility of a rebate, if you buy UT 2004 and have UT2003

UT2004 is scheduled to be released in time for Christmas, meaning November or December. UT2004 is a stand-alone retail product, but Atari may be offering a rebate to people who already purchased UT2003. Mark Rein has confirmed there will indeed be a UT2004 demo, and that this demo will contain Onslaught mode (but not Assault).

Here`s the whole page:

Why would you get a rebate?
I bought UT2003 because it was brillant.
I`ll buy UT2004 because it`ll be brillant.

Has this happened with other games before?

Ive heard that it comes on 9 CDs.
It includes everything out of UT2003 and the UT2004 extra stuff. I read it in the latest PC-Zone UK Magazine.

The new PC Gamer has a really poorly designed 2-page ad for UT2K4 and in the fine print it says that there'll be a $10 rebate for 2K3 owners. (I'm guessing you have to send back the back page of the booklet with the key code as PoP.) Didn't they do the same thing with HL:BS cuz it also included OpFor?

UT2K4 will have all the content from 2K3 plus the the 2 expansion/map packs plus all the new 2K4 stuff. $10 isn't a lot, but it's a nice gesture. You don't see EA giving rebates to previous versions of their sports titles, do you?

Damn!

That game will be so sweet, especially when I get it to go with the Radeon 9800 I ordered.

I'm hoping it'll be better than UT2k3, UT was better than 2k3 for me, I hope 2k4 can up the ante back to what the original was.

UT2004 doesnt look any different that UT2003 other than new stuff. UT2003 runs perfect on a GF4 Ti4200 turned all the way up so I wouldnt be buying a 9800 just for this game. I'd say GF4 or better will play this game perfectly with most if not all details up 1024x768.

that and 2k4 is supposed to be a greatly refined engine, meaning it may play more efficiently.
