UT 2004 levels loads very slowly. Please help

I have an xp2600+ Barton, 512 ram, 2- 80gb WD drives. GF4 4200/128 mb. running Win2K. It take anywhere from 40 to 60 secs to load a level and start.
My grandson has an xp 2000+, 512 MB ram, gF4-4200/64 mb, 40 GB wd drive, running xp pro. His levels load in 15 to 25 sec. Why would mine be so slow?
We are on the same network.

Have you tried looking here?

-Reduce your detail levels.
-Upgrade to 1 GB RAM.
-Turn off skin precaching.

And buy a Raptor

Turning precaching off helps a ton.

Thanks guys, checked the site you recommended and got it down to about 15 sec with the changes. Once again you bailed me out, best site around.
