wow cool stuff.

How in the heck did they make the Cole fit in the brackets thats on the carrier ship, while it is under the water?

Those brackets are fitted to the carrier ship before she is ballasted down in the water.

Basically the sequence of events is:
- Carrier ship arrives at location.
- Brackets are welded on deck in accordance with Cole's measurements.
- Carrier ship ballast tanks are filled with water so she sinks low in the water.
- Cole is floated above the carrier ship and aligned in position, as seen in pics.
- Carrier ship ballast tanks are pumped out so her deck rises above the water taking the Cole up with it.
- Cole is secured properly for the sea voyage.
