USR Courier V.Everything ISA why so slow ?? How to make faster ??

I have 1 ghz AMD... and 2 modems, 1 ISA (US Robotics Hardware Modem, ISA) and a PCI WinModem... somehow the Winmodem always connects at 51k and way faster while the USR Robotics ISA V.Everything connects way slower @ 46-48k only all the time. All are from the same line and computer. Strangely even when I tried changing the config strings it is still the same only at 48k only checked with countless sites on config strings. Is there some parameter on the EPOX board (8kta2) that will allow me to connect faster a little ? or something in Win2k that allows me to do so. Please advise. Thanks and appreciate.

I have a Courier Everything... and it might just so happen to be the ISA that is holding the modem back... I mean, you've got a fast computer there, and it has a lot of processing power to spare on the WINMODEM... plus, being PCI doesn't hurt it any...

My Courier is ISA too... I connect at 44,000 ... kinda lame... but hey, it works

You lose a few k. But being a hardware modem MORE than makes up for it.
