USR 56K Message External modem problem...help pls

I've bought US Robotics 56K External Message modem, but i'm kinda little supriced and worried, cause when i installed it, i've seen that at the back part of the modem, there is no phone output, only phone input for the telephone line, so i can't connect my telephone with the modem... pls help..
 
Get a $5 phone cord splitter/jack at Radio Shack....it's kinda funny though that the
modem doesn't have a phone out jack......I only seen those missing in very cheap
external modems.........Greg
