the usps sucks. this is the 2nd package of mine that they've lost. and when you try and track it, they can't tell you squat about where your package is even when you pay for the extra fees. this is what the lady on the phone told me: "you're gunna have to ask the sender to send you a new one and have them file a claim." and then i asked her, "what about the original, is it lost?" and she told me, "yeah" and hung up. wtf is that. thats the most crappy way of dealing with things ever. im never ever gonna deal with the post office again in sending or receiving packages. i have no choice, but to use standard mail with them due to their monopoly, but if i had a choice, id choose another company too. they raise postage stamps whenever they feel like it. their policies and procedures are complete crap.
so anyway, thats enough whining from me, heres my question, has anybody ever have something like this happen and been able to recover your lost package or is it completely hopeless? im getting tired of calling one post office only to have them tell me to call another, and then that place telling me to call the other one back, etc, etc. and when i tried to file a complaint, by calling the 800#, the guy on the phone tried to avoid filing one at all costs. he told me to wait and see, and gave me a story about how packages are scanned and x-rayed and whatever these days. yeah sure, have fun scanning a package for 20+ days. maybe if it was across the coast, i can see why, but the sender and i live in the same part of the state! and seeing how ive lost a package before sent by priority back in november that i never got, im pretty sure this ones gone too.
