Which company do you like?

Does the size, weight or distance of package determine your choice?

Do any sites compare all 4?

I prefer fedex. UPS = United Parcel Smashers (stolen from a member here :D). Don't know much about DHL so I can't comment on them.

UPS seems to be a better deal for really large and heavy boxes.
Overall I prefer FedEx if I can use it, for sending and receiving.
USPS has been improving over the years, so I go with them for small stuff.

DHL used to be cheapest for large stuff, fedex for smaller stuff in 3 days or less with Express Saver. USPS is ok for non time sensitive stuff b/c basically guarantee nothing. UPS has the friendliest/most courteous drivers for their business routes.

OK

Fedex runs over Packges
UPS Plays soccer with packages
DHL: Only used em 2 times good so far
USPS: Bretty good and fast take a litle bit more care, but higer chance of getting lost

I will use any, but for small things default to USPS Priority and larger items (>15 pounds) go with DHL.

I am fine with anything except UPS Ground.

Never had a problem with Fedex, USPS, or DHL

UPS however, I helped a friend order a Blue DS Lite and someone from UPS decided to steal the package and slap the packing slip on another package. I got a bunch of Tony Stewart bobble heads in the package that arrived.

Fedex = Fed Up

I call DHL the bakery truck cause they use contractors a lot

Everyone has their own differing opinion on FedEx vs. UPS, I really don't care, UPS is cheaper & I can get ~50% discount on shipments through a company I work for.

But DHL, what is the freakin' point? All DHL packages to me get handed over to the post office anyway for final delivery. A DHL shipment from Chicago, to basically a Chicago suburb, takes 3 days every time.

USPS has terrible tracking and I rarely get my stuff in one piece, most of the time its opened and trashed. At least with UPS, its just trashed but not opened. They are also both horribly slow.

I have been using FedEx for years and have never had a problem. All my packages have arrived in great condition and very quickly, almost always before the expected delivery day by at least a day early.

With USPS my stuff never arrives with a dent or scratch. And it's very fast too, 2-3 days to anywhere in the United States for very cheap relatively speaking, go priority!! For int'l it's ALWAYS USPS for me, especially to Canada, to avoid duties. Overseas, EMS is very good with actual tracking and guaranteed delivery

That's DHL@home, a carryover from Airborne Express.

A real DHL shipment will go overnight anywhere in Chicagoland.

UPS is the reason I no longer shop newegg. I now do all my comp part shopping with zipzoomfly because they are cheaper and ship FedEx, and even if they were more expensive, I would pay it if it meant not having to deal with UPS.

USPS = small stuff
UPS/fedex = average sized things
DHL = big heavy stuff

UPS sucks for small packages. It cost me $14 to ship something with UPS that would have cost $3 with USPS

Fedex breaks your packages, UPS loses then, and Airborne Express/DHL sells them to the Russian Mafia.

That's the one that's stuck with me.

I like Fedex, and have had good luck with USPS.

USPS > Fedex > DHL > UPS

USPS isn't good for anything really big though.

If it's something very small that doesn't weight much of anything, use USPS. I ship out PCMCIA cards now and then for like $1.50. If it's a decent size package though, I use UPS.
