I know they raised the price of stamps but did they raise the price of shipping other things too? cost me $10.35 to ship a PS1 game and strategy guide. that seems excessive to me.

this was priority. even parcel, i think was a little over $6.

Well, they also offer parcel post, flatrate, priority, mediamail. Usually less than that, you probably chose incorectly. Certainly cheaper and often faster than UPS/FEDupEX, DHL.

There is a flatrate priority envelope and also a flatrate priority box.

the envelope is $4.05 (i think) for as much as you can stuff in there (to a reasonable amount), and the box is also "stuff as much as you can up to 70lbs" as long as the box doesn't bust open for $8 (not sure on this one).

But yeah, a strat guide is a heavy ass mofo item. Probably near 1 lbs by itself. Throw in that game plus some packing foam and you're near 2lbs which does cost ~$10 for priority now.
