USPS shipping question

If I were to pay for and print a shipping label right now from Paypal, would it be considered postmarked on today's date? It's still the 17th here for another half hour or so.

Yes. Whatever date it says on the label. The worst that can happen is the mailman picks it up tomorrow and notices the date and asks you print a zero cent July 18 stamp.

I would think it couldn't be considered so until scanned into the USPS system at a post office.

It's not post marked until they get it. They're the ones that do the marking.

It will not be postmarked at all. (Said as I am looking at a PayPal shipping label on a package I received on Monday, no postmark, nothing. Just the label.)
Do like 1/2 of the traders at FS/FT do: print it right now, then mail it at least 3 days later.
Or, do it like e-Bay sellers: print it now but wait a full week before actually mailing it!
