Let's say I am ordering something tonight or tommorow morning and using USPS 2-3 priority mail. It should be delivered by friday or saturday. Let's say no one is home on friday to pick up. Will they redeliver on saturday? Or I can go pick it up on saturday at a local USPS? There is a USPS postal office 2 blocks down my home.

I know they have a phone number. However, I can't get hold of any rep with the automated device, as it keep on asking me for a tracking number and at this kind of time. So, I need some people who have had a similar experience.

Do you mean yes as they will redeliver it, or yes as in I can go pick it up on the next day? Thanks.

Sometimes they just leave the package near your door. Depends on the delivery guy.

one thing you have to consider is.processing days before its shipped. I ordered something using USPS and it took 2 days before it got shipped then it arrived 3 days later so it took 5 days.

Ofcourse this probrably has to do with the company/store and how it does its processing.

Thank you for your concern. I'm dealing with a vendor that does same day shipping so that should not be a problem. I am just concern about having the ability to pick up the item at my local USPS as I might not be at home to receive the package during this week, but i'll be free to do so on saturday.

Heres how it works.

Priorty Mail 2-3 days (most of the time 2 days).
The day it was shipped on is not considered for the transit day. The next day would be considered it.
Shipped on Monday. Will get to you by Wendesday or Thursday

Usually they will give you a slip. Then you can decide to pick it up or redeliver

Unless it requires a signature, then yeah, they will deliver it whether you are there or not.

If it does require signature and you are not there, you will have to go to the post office to pick it up, and you can usually get it only a short while after the postman returns from your portion of his route. Most postmen are done by like, 4, 5 at the latest, and the USPS is open in most places until 6, so you should be able to get it, but no guarantees.
