I shipped a priority mail package from CA to WI on 11/30 and the delivery confirmation thing still only says "electronic information received". It should have been there days ago :| How long do I need to wait before I can get the post office to track it down?

1) find out if the package was received.

2) Allow 5-7 business days before filing a tracking request.

3) Was it a paid DC or a free DC? If paid and not processed at delivery, ask for $$ back.

That package is gonna be delivered and forgotten about before the USPS Web site says it's arrived.

As the name suggests, Delivery Confirmation is just something that (eventually) confirms that the package was delivered. It's not for tracking the package.

If you want package tracking, you want to add this service to your package.

Other option is to pay $0.50 for minimal insurance. That will guarentee processing of information and also duplicate the DC functionality.
