It has been almost a month and it hasn't even left LOS ANGELES yet. It's like Iraq all over again. This shit won't reach my house for another decade.

:^D

That sucks. I'm generally a big fan of USPS. They're my shipper of choice, when I have a choice. UPS can go to hell.

Still better than Fedex or UPS. At least your package will get to you in one piece.

This. UPS and USPS have been alright for us, but Fedex has recently had some major screwups for me. Broken objects, melted food (dry-ice packed with explicit instructions), a torn-up gravel driveway, and phony "sorry, we missed you" notifications left on the door.

Try this: be nice to the person that handles your mail or serves you at the counter. It gets there when it gets there.

I've generally had good experience with USPS. A decade ago when I bought and sold a lot on eBay they were basically the only shipper I would use. For a long time US Postal Money Orders were the only form of payment I would take, especially in the early days of PayPal when fraud was rampant (not that it isn't now but the Internet was different back then).

Who else will physically carry an item for you anywhere in the US for $0.44? That's like the bargain of the century. I can't even drive to the Post Office for $0.44, not to mention they pick up at my door for no extra charge. 🙂

Do you even realize how much mail the USPS processes? The accuracy, delivery area, volume and price is unsurpassed in the world. Wow, one letter delayed. That's not anecdotal at all.
