USPS insurance.

Say you're sending a package that's insured for a certain amount through USPS. If they lose your package, how do you get the money you insured refunded, and how do you find out if they've actually lost or not.
 
oh. it also takes 30 days after you shipped out the package for you to be able to file a claim. i'd use priority or express mail for this kind of purpose. i'd also try to obtain a tracking number (i don't think priority has such an option though).

i had a recent issue with this so you really need to be careful. the most important thing, however, was in my first post: delivery confirmation.
 
Well unfortunately I didn't get delivery confirmation for the package. Thanks for the link though, guess I'll have to wait 21 days before I can do anything.
