Using wyse75 with PuTTY

The UNIX box I work with likes me to use wyse75 as a terminal type. We normally use Kermit, and in Kermit you can specify wyse75 as an environmental variable so that it will be your default when logging on (I have VT220 as the emulation, but I want to use wyse75 once I log on). Anyway, in PuTTY you can specify the terminal type, which I put at VT220. Then, in variables, I made one called "Terminal Type" and put "wyse75" in as the value, but when I log on VT220 is still the default. If I put wyse75 in as the terminal type, it will show as the default, but it won't load correctly and I get errors. I was wondering if anyone knew how to set this up in PuTTY. Thanks!
