Using WPcredit to lose 10C???

What do you people think of the tweak on this page?

I'm not sure about trying it. Anybody out there has tried with good result? Anybody did irreversible damage?

I only use wpcrest to change reg. 52 to EB to lower cooling temp at idle on my KK266R. Before change 36C idle after change 28C idle. It does not do anything to full load temps.

i used wpcredit to change this setting on my epox 8k7a. it did indeed lower my idle temps about 10c with no apparent adverse effects. however, i did not bother using wpcrset to keep the change because my computer is almost never idle, since i run seti in the background. this register change only effects idle temps, not load temps, as winxp pointed out
