Apologies if this is the wrong forum for this question, I wasn't sure where to put it.
I'm planning out a Windows Home Server box, primarily to use as a backup server. My parents live a few towns over, and I thought that for security/redundancy purposes, I might do an initial backup over a LAN, then move the box to their house and do future backups via the internet.
Is this possible with WHS? Can I have it located on my parent's network and (via the internet) still directly access/mount/auto-backup onto its drives via my Windows computers?
I don't have a huge amount of data turn over so I don't think this is going to be too slow a solution, as long as it works. And another advantage is that I can have it back my parents' computers too.
Thanks for any advice at all.
