How do i use this? got my PS2 hooked up and running.. it's an MSI Ti4200.

I can't find anything in the drivers so I am assuming I need software to use the video-in.
The manual is COMPLETELY useless.. even a quick response helping me find which software would be fantastic.

Usually its a capture driver. I have the same thing with my GF2 GTS. It has a video in but to the best of my knowledge you need another software that will utilize the vid cap driver.

The software that came with the card. InterVideo WinProducer & WinCoder.

Ah. That's fine and dandy if you have the software that is suppose to come with the card.

Yeah, I know what you're saying.

I am sure a quick google search will list a large supply of software for you.

Adobe Premier might work for you.

I have no clue how to use this software... it's meant for capturing from webcams and my TV tuner card
mentions nothing about just freaking USING THE DAMN TV-IN!

You can use Virtual Dub (vdub). Best capturing software IMO.

It's free also.

I'm 99.9% vdub can display it also.

I use my ATI Video In software primarily though. But I do know that I can use Vdub also.

how can i use my PS2 so it outputs on my monitor thru my video card?

i never knew this would be so difficult.

Just hooked my Xbox up to my computer. Works with Dscaler (which is free, do a google search), ATI Software that came with my tv tuner card, and it seems to work best with Cyberlink PowerVCR. Once you install the software and connect the RCA or Svideo, select the input you used (Svideo or Composite) in the software and you should be in business.

how awful is awful?

Supposedly ATI cards are supposed to be the best for VIVO (video in/video out). I remember most Geforce cards weren't that great (and it highly varied by what card you had).

edit: Oh yeah, the picture will no matter what look A LOT worse than compared than a TV because the monitor doesn't give you the "fake anti-aliasing" that a TV does.

It's black and white... the full screen detail sucks, but I realize it won't be perfect

What software are you using that it's black and white? I had the same problem when I first used PowerVCR but I went into the settings and clicked the return to defaults button and it fixed it (all the levels were turned down for some reason).
