I just bought a D/Dock expansion station and it has been working pretty good for the past week that I have had it. I wanted to get a dual monitor setup going on it so I bought a pci video card that I could put into the pci expansion slot that the dell d/dock expansion station has for the laptop dock. I put it in, it finds the card right away, but then I receive the blue screen of death and it always reboots right after it says video card found and ready for use. The card is found fine because when I look in device manager under displays it is listed there.

The video card I put in there is the Ati Rage 128 VR PCI (Microsoft Corp).

I go into the bios and change main video from system to expansion slot card and then video does not work on either the port coming out from the back of the docking station, and the video does not work for the video card in the pci slot. If I try to switch the option in the bios to have the system video as the main video then that is when I get the blue screen of death. When I do it the other way, like I said neither of them works so I wind up having to open up the laptop and use the laptop monitor.

Anyone have any ideas that I could try out? I have tried many different things and it doesnt seem to work. A friend of mine has the docking station and he put the video card in the expansion slot and said he had to put an older one in there so that is what I did cause he said a newer one didnt work.

Any input you could give me would be greatly appreciated. I have tried many things and need some other ideas.
