Is it possible to use VGA instead of s-video for tv out on a projector ? My projector is pretty old and does not have HDMI. No I don't want to buy a new projector yet. I want to move up to VGA, if it works, instead of s-video sense I hear picture quality is better. Sure I prefer HDMI but I don't have it.

Do you mean you wanna use a vga out on your computer to your projector? In all cases the vga out will beat a s-video picture. If you have a vga out, use it.
You should be able to change the resolution on you computer to match the projector.

What kind of projector is it? model#
Are you using xp windows , window vista, or windows 7?

I don't think I understand what you're asking... If you're asking if it's possible to connect a computer to a projector via VGA, it should work as long as the computer has VGA output, the projector has VGA input, and you have a VGA cable to connect them....

Yea, need to know exactly what you're talking about, if your projector has VGA input then you should certainly use it. If the projector only has s-video or rca inputs then there's several reasons why it wouldn't be doable.
