is this possible?

im trying to hook up two dell all in one 942's via USB to the same dell tower, to print out reports at the same exact time.

the way he has it set up now, both directly plugged in, as soon as you send the exact same job to the #2 printer, it stops sending to the #1 printer and starts the 2nd job.

idk how to fix this problem?

I thought PRINT SERVER? so i hooked a linksys one up, had it all set, but then come to find out its not COMPATIBLE with that server.

so what do i do? whats the best way to get this to work? try another print server?

im not sure if it possibe, but you might have to go print again and just select the other printer and go from there.

yes sir.

thats how its set up now.

both printers, one named #1, the other #2.

ill go to print the document on the first one.

then go to print it on the other.

as soon as you start the 2nd job on the 2nd printer, it cuts off the first one.

alas, the problem.

inkjet printers do not have the memory to be able to hold documents internally. typically, your PC is constantly sending data to the printer.

also, there's a matter of spooling.

so, mday,

is it possible to do what he wants to do?

print the same document at the same time on both inkjet usb printers?

what if one is hooked up to the pc and one is hooked up to a print server?

would that make it work?

it will print the same document to a USB printer on his computer as well as a USB printer on a shared desktop computer on the network.
