I have a temporary situation until my broadband gets hooked up, I want to use my home network for file and print sharing (wired NIC) and wireless (USB NIC) for internet access only from a neighbor, I have permission from them of course. Is this possible? How would I go about setting the connection properties if it is?

How do I do that? Can you explain a little more? Even a link to a tutorial would be fine by me.
I'm running xp home.

Thanks

You actually do not need to do any thing complicated.

Set the metrics of the Wireless USB TCP/IP properties for lower number, http://www.ezlan.net/metrics.html

Click on the Wireless Zero configuration and choose the Wireless Network.

That it you would Browse through the Wireless and when you do File exchange it would go through your wire.

P.S. If your wired network is on the same subnet as the Wireless change your IP scheme.

I.e if your network us currently 192.168.1.x and the Wireless is also 192.168.1.x change yours to 192.168.20.x

Another way is to not have a gateway set for the LAN. That, along with a different IP block should work.
