Using two DD-WRT to setup VPN PPTP

I've got two networks and a WRT54G running DD-WRT at each end.

One network is 192.168.1.x and the other is 192.168.5.x.
I tried following the guide on the wiki page for DD-WRT to setup the VPN but I'm having some trouble.

From my computer on the 192.168.1.x network I can ping the router on the other network at 192.168.5.1 and from a computer on the 192.168.5.x network I can ping the router here at 192.168.1.1 but I can't ping computers from either side to the other. Any ideas what I'm missing?

I've done it. Don't remember exactly what made it tick, but it IS doable, so don't give up hope.

Did your VPN connection actually connect? If I recall I used L2TP/IPSEC.

Perhaps you must specify the connections to be made through the tunnel? Sorry I'm so foggy on it.
