I just want to bug bomb a single room, which can be closed off from the kitchen and where the water heater is located. If there's a hallway between the room and the kitchen, with a door in between that can be sealed up, it should be fine right?

Probably, but isn't worth shutting down the pilot light to be certain?

I suggest you find out before proceeding, or you may be asking Darwin how to turn the pilot light off. :p

About 6 months ago, a bunch of geniuses out here in San Diego decided the best way to deal with their cockroach problem was to set off about 40 bug bombs in a tiny little cottage. The fumes ignited and practically leveled the place in the ensuing explosion.
