Using search in Windows XP

I have a lot of files I want to organize into separate folders. When I try using the search function and moving the files, I get the following error measage:
"Can not move file: Cannot read from the source file or disc."

I can I am trying to move the files to and from two folders on the same disc.

Is there anyway around this?

Thanks

Randolph

You should be able to do this. Instead of search use the classic explorer by right clicking on My Computer and then clicking explore. Transfer files from the right pane to the left pane and if this still does not work, you might want to try searching the MS KB. Key word, explorer.
