I have windows 2000 server installed using the non-raid sata drivers from Dell. Now we have decide to mirror the drive with raid 1. I know I can do it in the disk manager of windows 2000 without reinstalling, but this will be a software raid 1 correct? Can I just update the drivers in the device manager to the raid ones and install the Intel Matrix Storage Manager to correct a raid 1 without reinstalling? This would be a hardware raid correct?

Win2K software manager would be software RAID...or at least much closer to it than the nVidia implementation (which is still software driver dependent). Anyway, I'd also like to migrate to RAID 1 from single disk without re-install.
