im considering this option as an offsite backup alternative. anyone know of any clients i might want to check out that will work good with sbs 2003? i'm looking to backup around 15gb of data that changes very little day-to-day. i dont need anything too complex... just something that will allow me to schedule backups of specific folders/files reliably. the most important files is a quickbooks file which im currently backing up remotely using intuits remote backup service (for QB)... it is working quite well but i want more storage capacity at a better price.

any experience using jungledisk on sbs 2003? i've read where people have had issues... it also doesn't seem to say anywhere that they support sbs2003.

No persnal experience, I've been looking at their WHS product for home use. But it should work fine though as they support 2003. A quick glance at their support forums shows a few SBS/2003 Server issues, mostly due to people who didn't read the release notes on how to fix Web Folder support & drive mapping workaround (which I wouldn't even use as you will probably want to go the automatic backup route). You may also want to take a look at their JungleDisk Plus service, which offers block-level backups.

If you're not beholden to S3, you might also want to consider other services, we use iBackup for our clients, it works well, but is obviously more expensive than S3.

yeah, i dont need drive mapping. i downloaded their trial and for $20 unlimited installs, i have nothing to lose. block-level backups are pretty much the only way this would for me @ 15-20gb of data. plus for only $1 extra a month, wouldn't it always be economical to use this feature considering the data transfer savings.
