Using router and playing Red Alert 2

I have a SMC Barricuda Router, and can play Red Alert2 perfectly over network, but when I go on WestWood Online my computers can only see each other, but whenever we try to start a game one person gets dropped. What settings or tweaks ,etc. can I make to fix this probelm?
