I am trying to use the Raid ports on the KK266R as extra IDE ports, without striping. Anyone here have luck with this?

I followed the suggestions at Fullon3d KK266 FAQ
But it does not boot.

The POST runs fine and the system boots great if I put the HD on the primary IDE.

The BIOS is set to boot RAID100 (tried SCSI too).
HyperDisc is seeing the Maxtor drive.
It reports no array (as expected).

Then EZ-BIOS 13.73M gets control. It does not see the hard drive. (What is this EZ-BIOS anyway? Is this something from Maxtor?)

Interestingly, it seems to be finding some part of the hard disc, since it displays a message that it is "Starting Windows Millennium". Then it hits the floppy and hangs.

I thought maybe ME was using the wrong disc configuration, so I booted using the primary IDE and removed the IDE device, shut down, swapped the cables to the RAID and rebooted. Still no go.

Any other ideas?

The EZ-BIOS (which is the POS from the Maxblast software that came with your Maxtor hard drive) is conflicting with the Raid controller. You will need to boot your system up with that POS and uninstall the utility to fix that problem.
