Using proxy, can it log your passwords?

can the proxy catch your passwords and stuff you type even though sites you visit / log-on are encrypted?

it really depends. on SSL - NO. On just about anything else - Yes.

The proxy is a "middle man" in that you communicate directly to the proxy and the proxy then initiates the session ot the server.
