Using PPort as 1 SerialPort

I have an adapter and wanted to use a modem on the Parallel Port. Is it possible?...I figured by assigning an IRQ and changing it to biderectional in the BIOS there's hope...TIA

USB would be easier.
Also, would the modem's drivers be able to cope with parallel port?

You cannot use a modem with a parallel port....Just get another adapter, or get USB

Heh I too found that out so hooked it up by way of USB to Serial adapter until a PCI Serial card come in...Thanks!
