I don't get what you're trying to do.
The hub you have has a analog input?

what's the purpose for the sound card. Are you trying to hook your computer up as well?

Use the analog cable (red)
Plug it into the back of the sub.
In the back of the sub plug your speakers into it. (green)
Plug the sub analog cable (red) to your TV

The last line... Aren't all the connections on my TV all "inputs" and not "outputs" except the optical one?

Oh, now I remember how I did it. Sorry I already had the cable. You can make your own if you have some electrical tape, and some wire strippers.

This is the cable you need it's pretty cheap (cheaper than that other product) or if you want make it yourself.

I remember getting this cable for a buck :)

Where are you plugging it into the TV?

I see the TV has a digital optical output... is there another audio output?

I see several types of inputs on the TV, but you need to connect to an output.

His sound card. Based on the picture it's a 5.1 creative sound card if I'm not mistaken.

Edit: NVM..... Just by converter like Nohr said :(

Now... Those speakers are digital, I do NOT know if you can just put a regular S/PDIF connection onto them.

The adapter is your best bet. Just run the optical cable from your TV's optical out to the adapter, and then a coax digital cable from the adapter to the sub and you'll be good. As far as the optical cables at monoprice, I have 3 of the normal ones, and one of the premium ones... they all work perfectly. The 3 normal ones (6ft each) are all hooked up to one of their optical switches, which is in turn run to my logitech z5500 system. The one premium one connects my parents sammy 4065F to their receiver (12 or 15ft cable I can't remember). I will say, if you are worried about any sort of abrasions or whatnot (IE: from pulling cables around), go with the "premium one" as the jacket they put on it is top notch. If you just need a short run somewhere, the normal cable definitely will do the job for you. In the end, they both are cheaper than anything you would buy at a big box store.

Edit: if you just want to cop out and do it the easy way: http://www.buy.com/prod/pionee...loc/111/204509050.html

Those have both coax and digital optical in. They also would give you a AM/FM tuner and true 5.1 channel sound. Use google checkout ($10 off) + free shipping and you get a decent pair of speakers for under $100.
