using pc as dsl router

how would i set up a pc as a dsl router? (keep the discussion general, no need to get too detailed (i.e. "then install file and printer sharing, then set this protocol as ...&quot) i would need 2 nics, correct? this pc would be running win2k

You'd need 2 nics if your adsl modem is ethernet based. If it is, plug in the 2 nics, and get sygate at www.sygate.com.

All you need is two NICS, then run ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) on the machine.

If you want to dedicate that machine to routing your DSL to your LAN, I would suggest running Linux and using something like IP Masquerading.
