Using Outlook for MAC with an Exchange Server?

The MAC computer is using OS 10.2, and DNS settings are correct. But "the name of the Exchange Server could not be found on the network". Any ideas?
 
what version of outlook are u using with the mac ?? can u ping the server ? can u access the mailbox via OWA ???
 
I had a similar if not the same issue at work. Try creating a hosts file on the mac pointing to the exchange server.
 
It's 8.2 and OWA works. Our net.admin says he already tried creating a hosts file. I'll try it myself.
