using onboard USB. where to find headers?

Anyone know where to find USB headers (or whatever they are called)? I looked at the egg and only found one, so it seems i must be looking in the wrong spot as there must be more then one maker of the things and different options.

My motherboard has 6 onboard USB, but they only gave me one expander. Sure i can hub it, but for whatever reason i have bad luck with hubs...

I am talking about those little add on pci slot covers that have USB ports on them that you plug into your motherboard. NOT the pci expansion cards. These don't actually use the pci slot, they just use up the expansion space.

I know what you are talking about. But the name is so uncommon that nobody has a category listing.

unfortunately M/B makers are the only ones who purchase these things regularly and there is no real profit margin, so retail stores dont bother advertising them. Kind of a rip off, the 2 port versions use up 2 headers; given each header supports 2 ports.

I think we all understand what you want - but it is not called a header. Headers are the USB pins on the mobo you will connect to. What you are asking for is a front panel hub. Like so . . .
