Sister is upgrading her current Core2Duo to a i5-2310. Its going to be basic with a HD5770, 2 hard drives and optical drive. She bought a FSP Blue Storm AX-500(500watt) with that upgrade around 4-5 years ago. I am thinking should she replace this PSU with a new one? I know its a decent power supply but with its age I'm not sure. I'd rather her put that money toward a SSD or something more useful. She will use this current upgrade for another 4-5 years and probably only replacing what may die.
If you all recommend it get changed I'd like to keep it in the $60-80 range if possible. What would be best replacement in that range?
