You've got to give us the component configuration of your new system to get any help.

No reason you couldn't reuse an ATX form factor case if you like it.

That X2 3600 chassis might provide a decent starting point if it's AM2 with DDR2 RAM - does the motherboard have a PCIe slot (and if so, what version 1.0, 1.1 etc)?

As for new components for your gaming PC, you should be planning it around a decent PCIe graphics card and a quality power supply (PSU).

my x2 3600 motherboard is ASUS M2V-TVM. It has 2 PCI slots and 1 RAM slot free, I already have 1 GB DDR2 ram installed

OK, we're talking about a micro-ATX motherboard based on a VIA K8M890 chipset. Not the greatest, pretty poor TBH, but still reasonably modern if you want to upgrade on a tight budget. If that's the case:

Add a second 1GB of DDR2.
Replace the basic Nvidia 7200 with a gaming graphics card (and make sure all onboard graphics options in BIOS are switched off). An 8800GS would be a budget gamer's choice if you keep the X2 3600 CPU. A more expensive ATI Radeon HD 4850 would be the performance option, to keep if/when you upgrade the processor.

N.B. power supply is an important consideration if you upgrade graphics card, processor and/or motherboard. Antec Earthwatts series are popular recommendations on ATforums for gamers on a budget.
