I have a Netgear wireless USB adapter MA101 connected to my PC running XP. I was wondering if it was possible to use the adapter as a Access Point? I would imagine that it would be, I'm guessing that all the computers would have to be set using ad-hoc.

Anyone know if this is possible and if so, how?

It would be all peer to peer. Linux has a package that will simulate an AP. No windows equivalent that I am aware of. Might be out there though. Not natively though no.

I figured it out, it was actually pretty easy. I set up the adapter as ad-hoc and set the wired connection to share with the wireless connection. I had to create a network in the preferred network area so that other computers could connect to it.

Right you have an Ad Hoc wireless network. Your internet traffic will go through the PC with ICS or whatever proxy/Nat solution you use. It is not acting like an AP however. Wireless client will not go through your ICS machine when transferring files locally and you won't have various features that an AP would provide. Glad you got it to you got it setup to your liking never the less.
