Using my XP Pro Full version & Vista Upgrade

If I get the Vista upgrade but do a fresh install with it, can I still use my copy of XP Pro on another computer?

I assume if I do a Vista fresh install using the upgrade disk, I will have to let Vista check to see if I actually do have an XP Pro disk, but does it do anything else so that I won't be able to use my XP Pro CD on my old old Laptop (like ask for my XP Pro product key and disable it)?

We do not appreciate discussions about ways to pirate software. Another such post will be your last on our forums.

When you use an upgrade license, it ties up your original license that you're upgrading from, from an "am I legit" standpoint. So if you still want to use WinXP Pro legit, you might as well buy Vista full version, rather than upgrade version.

Technically I know I won't be legit, but will M$ know (from a product activation standpoint)?
Basically you're asking for piracy-assistance info, which generally gets you a warning from the Mods, or a vacation if they have a hangover. This being the day after New Years' Eve... :Q yeah.

Why don't you just count your blessings as someone who's extremely wealthy by world standards, and buy what you're supposed to buy
