Using My Dell Complete Care Warranty

Totally shattered the thing. They will probably send a full replacement because of the damage. I haven't had time to make a service call yet. I would reallylike my display downgraded from an sxga+ to an xga in the proccess. I would even be willing to pay something for this to happen. Anybody think I have a chance in Hell?

why would you want to take a display downgrade? just set the resolution in properties down a step, and it will be the same thing. Your going to lose the higher end gfx card by taking a downstep like that not to mention a faster refresh rate.

Nope. You could ask for the downgrade. You won't lose the better graphics card since only the display would be changing. The refresh rate would remain the same (at 60Hz) since they use LCDs in laptops and setting the resolution to less than the native resolution on an LCD results in image distortion.
