Was wondering if anyone know of any compatability issues with powermax and the 8RDA+? The reason I am asking is I have a 200gig Maxtor drive that started getting funky on me. I was able to get all my stuff off it, then tried to reformat. The computer would recognize it but not format. So I tried to use the powermax utility to diagnose it but powermax does not see any drive on my system! They are
1 80g Maxtor
1 200g Maxtor
1 Lite-on DVD
1 A-105 dvd-r/w
I tried disconnecting all drives and plugging one at a time but powermax would not see any of them. I then put the suspect drive in a K7S5A set-up and ran powermax just fine. Got my error code for my RMA.
Has anyone else had this problem or do I have an 8RDA+ that is going bad? I did slap in a 40g Maxtor I had laying around and it formated just fine.
