using mac book with tv?

Hi all,
My mother in law would like to use her tv to stream Netflix off her mac book pro. She has an HDTV that's a couple of years old--apparently the model just before the one that could directly stream Netflix. The TV has RCA and VGA ports. It's a Panasonic LCDTV Model # TC-32LX24. The Mac Book Pro has USB ports and probably some others--I'm clueless. It's a 2010. It was a low end model.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can tell us what cables we need and how to install them to make it all work. It would be nice if we could have audio through the tv as we don't have speakers for the Mac Book aside from what's built in (but we could buy some if push came to shove).

Any help is appreciated!

can you take a pic of the ports on the side/back of the macbook. It will have a video output (or it should) just need to identify what it is and see if it is compatible with her TV.

Make a free account at photobucket or similar to upload the photos and link here.

the TV should have 3 HDMI

the macbook pro should have mini-DisplayPort

you'll need (feel free to shop around)
1) a mini-DisplayPort to HDMI (pick one of the following)

2) a standard HDMI cable (if you don't have any; i chose white to match with the adapter; feel free to choose another color and or length [6 ft is a good length, you may go with longer or shorter depending on the setup])

3) [optional] you may or may not need a 3.5mm to stereo cable for audio

Thanks, both of you! MiL is out of town this week but I'll revisit this when she gets back. I really appreciate the help!
