Using IMAP with outlook

I am getting my mail from an IMAP server, and I was wondering if there was a way to make it so that when I delete a message it goes into a trash can instead of actually deleted.

I think the mail server is running Squirrelmail, and my hosters said that Squirrelmail doesn't provide that function/protection, and that maybe the client that I am using will. But I don't see an option in Outlook 2002 that specifies that. Does anybody have any idea?

youll have to make rules, but i could never get it to work with any consistency. which is why i switched the mozilla for my imap client
