Using home theater speakers & Reciever for an office PA system - will this work?

I'm setting up the sound system for an office of a relative. There will be 2 zones, one with 4 speakers and one with 2 speakers. I would like the speakers to be used for playing back music but also for live audio. I will connect a mic to the receiver and use the speakers as a PA system. These are my concerns:

1. I heard that home theater speakers can become damaged if used for live audio because the dynamic range of the human voice will not be compressed like recorded music is and as a result the speakers will receive frequencies that they cannot handle. Is this true?

2. If so, will passing the live audio through the receivers DSP compress the dynamic range to safe frequencies?

3. Will the DSP induce an audio delay (the live audio will come out of the speakers 1/2 a second after I speak?) Will a "direct audio" mode to prevent this delay?

4. Can i even hook up a wireless mic receiver to a home theater receiver. Most wireless mic receivers have XLR connectors, can these be converted to regular RCA connectors?

5. Can anyone recommend a good receiver, mic receiver, and speakers for this setup? I am considering on getting the Definitive ProMonitor 1000 speakers, Denon AVR-X3000P receiver and I have no idea about what mic to get. Any advice is greatly appreciated. The receiver must be able to play back two separate HDMI sources in two separate zones and should preferably be rack mountable.

If this setup will never work, please advise me on some good PA speakers and amps (I heard Crown is great) that will be decent for recorded music and not just live audio. I will also need a pre-amp that can display separate HDMI sources in separate zones. The rooms are not that big; about 30' x 22' x 12' and 22' x 17' x 12'.

Thank you for your help!
