Using Headphones with Hercules Gametheater XP question???

Am I being stupid, but if I plug my Sennheiser Headphones into the phones jack on the front of the XP's external box thingy, where does the amplification power come from?? Can I use these Sennheiser headphones with sufficient power with the XP.

I use the HD495 Silver's and they do ok with the GTXP. The output is louder than my Philips AE or SB Live 5.1 was, but still slightly low for my tastes. I have been trying to decide if I want to pick up one of those headphone amps..but $159 is pretty steep just to have your headphones louder...

Fu*k it, I'll just get the santa cruz and plug the card into my reciever and plug my cans into that.

You can always buy a headphone amplifier. Is any soundcard really suited for all headphone use?

dude, if you are going to hook up a sound card to a receiver, the card to get is the GTXP, it has individual channel rca outputs, gold plated (which does little) and it just looks cool to have the lil breakout box.
