using headphone jack on cd rom drive

I have two optical drives in my computer. I would like to use one of the headphone drives for all the audio on the computer. Is this possible? I'm not just talking cd music, im talking everything. Thanks, Brian

hmm not sure.. first thought is that it does the audio extraction right there and then spits it out the hole... pretty sure other stuff cannot be routed to it. worth a bump though.

I am sure this is not possible.

I hate to sound stupid, but why not just use the headphones in the speaker out on your sound card? You don't need a high end sound card for this - any old sound card will suffice.

That is, unless you don't have a sound card...
