Using Fdisk

Hi, I have a dual boot system, C: Windows ME fat32/ D: XP NTFS.

I used FDISK to view my partition size for Windows ME. I enabled large drive support on the first screen for the C drive then it came up with another screen saying there's an NTFS partition and I enabled large drive support for that as well. Then on the next screen I selected option 4 which was to view my Fat32 partition.

This doesn't affect the partition or write anything to it right? Somebody told me all is well that just viewing the partition writes nothing to the partition/drive. Everything is working, just making sure.

Thanks.

Yes, option 4 simply allows you to view your partition setup. It does not modifiy the partition table.

Thanks for the response.

One more question.

What does the enable large drive support option do? From what I understand that only comes into play if I decide to partition a drive(which i'm not) and tells Fdisk whether to use (no)fat16 or (yes)fat32 right? Or does it enable FDISK to view a partition above 512 megs? Or both?
