Are there any sites explaining the options and nuances of how to use this program? I have never tried either of them out before, and I don't know what to do.

I've been playing with it a bit. Basically, I left all options on default, switched to the ISO view, unclicked the spanish audiotracks and stuff, and hit decrpyt. I'll see how it works later today.

Also, you need to get the movie below 4.7 GB in order to burn it onto a standard dvd disc?

use dvd shrink - it has an option to create and iso an burn with decrypter. with shrink you can either do the entire dvd or just the movie, that is called re-author, you can also select what audio tracks you want.

when you hit backup, select "create iso image and burn with dvd decrypter", give it a place on your hdd and once the iso is created, it will launch decrypter, very nice setup.

This is a little off topic but I suggest you archive your exe copy of DVD Decrypter as the author has been asked to remove all traces of the program for download on the Web.

Doesn't sound like much of a "General Hardware" question to me...

But anyway, I think you'll get much better info about DVD copying at www.doom9.org and their forums.

Zendari all the answers to your questions can be found at the Afterdawn forums. It's a great place for this kind of info and there are some very helpful people and guides for those two programs.

That means that you should save a copy of the installer files locally, as it will no longer be available to download from internet sites. Save it on your HDD, burn it on a CDr, put it on a floppy or a USB stick, but save it locally so you can have it in case you ever need to reinstall it, or install it on another machine, at some point in the future..
