Using Capture.exe without Novell

I have a computer with novell, loading a batch file at startup that uses novell's file capture.exe with some switches. Now I want to use this same batch file and the capture.exe file on a computer without novell, but it tells me that PRINT.VLM isn't loaded...

I'm wondering if I can use capture.exe without Novell, if not, do you know any program that would do the same thing as capture?
I need something that would resize automatically the caracter size when you print in DOS. That way a 1000 pages report only takes 500 pages 😉

Only works with Netware

Ok well is there another software that can do what I want... It's not only the capture itself that i need but a feature that would make the caractere size in dos smaller when i print something with a DOS program...

Do some searches on Tucows or Hotfiles - there are a number of utilities that do what you want, both DOS and Windows based. I used to use a program called 4print years ago for DOS but I don't know if they are still around.

Well I found this program, tryed to use it, but it not exactly like what I want... The thing is, w/ 4Print, you have to give the program a filename. What I need is something that would set the printer to automatically print 4 pages/sheet when a DOS program prints something... So I need something memory resident I think... I don't have a filename to give to the software.

I'm not sure I've been clear but anyway, feel free to ask question!

Thanks for your help!
