Using Canon powershot s400 as web cam

According to canon Uk they know of people using a canon iuus 400 (same as powershot s400) being used as a web cam but will not say how.

Does anybody know how ?

Currently running windows 2000 pro

Never done it - but if you install the Canon software for that camera, and then connect the camera to the PC (however it is required to be done) then you can operate the camera from the computer. However - the resolution and picture size are not optimized for web use.

A Google search led me here - there is apparently a driver you can download:

Already done that currently have all the latest bits of software loaded from Canon

These Are the Canon Twain driver 6.0
Canon window 4.5
file viewer utility 1.6
Photostitch
Raw image task
Remote capture 2.7
Remote capture tast
Zoom browser EX

Running windows 2000 latest version with all updates

also tried WebcamXP, camera not seen
Vision BG PE camera not seen

Still nothing

OK - I can't speak for Windows 2000 - but it is not well known for being hardware friendly like XP is. Sorry!
